Garbage.I was trying to find a cost-effective way to make a Christmas tree out of lights for the yard, considering most of the pre-formed ones are in the $30-$40 range. Curtain lights seem to be widely available for significantly less, and these had a great promotion going on. Even though I bought them to use in a different way than intended, they really did the trick! I just gathered the top part together (where the hooks are) to create the top of the tree, then I attached 9 of the 10 strands to the ground and used the final strand to outline a star.They are bright and have a variety of modes you can set, and while I've been careful not to yank them around, they seem sturdy so far. My only complaints would be:1) the click button/USB section is very flimsy and apparently not waterproof, so you have to take extra care to keep it dry (this likely wouldn't be an issue for anyone who's using these lights inside, behind curtains)2) a little difficult to unwind/untangle (like trying to straighten out a Slinky, there's one "right" direction and if you don't do it that way from the start, you're sunk)3) the main negative for me right now is that the included remote does not work unless you're right up underneath it. I have the lights hanging up from my porch and the remote doesn't work even when I'm standing outside my front door; I have to walk outside and point it straight at the little USB clicker box. In fact, when I first tried the remote I thought it was broken, replaced the battery, etc. because I couldn't affect the lights from my door, and then when I got closer, I was pointing at the wrong side of the lights--you have to point directly at the on/off switch for it to register. Now I know that the remote does work, which is a relief, but I still have to go outside in winter weather just to be able to use it. Also, even though it says it has a timer function, I have never seen it turn on by itself. Every day I just have to turn it on again.Honestly I didn’t realize they were on the copper wire when I ordered them, but that’s my fault. They’re very nice and elegant looking depending on where you put them. The wire was easy enough to work with, although people w/dexterity issues such as myself may have a little trouble. The color is perfectly warm! The lights themselves have just the right amount of brightness. I don’t like any of the settings because they’re too fast. I’d like a twinkle setting, but they don’t have that.
